Thanks to the industrial skills of Itema, the new company will produce in Italy lyophilization systems for the Tofflon Group

Colzate – Itema, leading global provider of advanced weaving solutions, and Tofflon Science and Technology Group Co. Ltd., Asiatic giant company in the pharmaceutical industry, have presented Tofflonit, the new joint venture dedicated to the production of industrial lyophilizers for the biopharmaceutical sector that operates under the name Tofflon Itema Srl. With an initial investment of 10 million euros, the company will have its regional headquarters in Nibbia, in the province of Novara, where a manufacturing plant with high quality and innovation levels has been operating since October. The agreement was illustrated in Bergamo on October 24th during BioTopics 2023, the event dedicated to biotechnologies and open innovation.

Founded in Shanghai in 1993, Tofflon is a comprehensive pharmaceutical equipment supplier to provide process support, core equipment, integrated system and pharma engineering for the pharma and biotech industry, with more than 5,800 employees worldwide and a 2022 turnover of about 800 million US dollars. In order to pursue its strategy of internationalization and expansion, the group chose Itema as the partner for the planning and engineering of its new branch in Europe, where the group will produce lyophilization systems for the production of antibiotics, vaccines, diagnostic drugs, products containing proteins and biotechnological products.

Itema exhibits at SITEX Surat International Textile Expo 2023 January 7th – 9th in booth 226

2022 has been for Itema a remarkable year in terms of growth and part of this success is specifically linked to the Surat Region. Itema comes from an outstanding year in terms of sales of weaving machines in India. The company closed in fact an impressive number of deals providing the Indian textile industry with its advanced weaving technology to weave a wide range of fabrics.

Itema acquires the real estate area of the former Cotonificio Cantoni in Ponte Nossa

Eighteen years after the end of the productive activity on the site, the area will be subject to a major redevelopment project by the company of Colzate

18 July, Colzate (Bg) –  Itema, leading global provider of advanced weaving solutions including weaving machines, spare parts, and integrated services, announced the closure of the operations that led to the acquisition of the area that hosted the Cotonificio Cantoni in Ponte Nossa, Bergamo province.

The area in question, located on the left orographic bank of the river Serio, includes civil and industrial buildings, and a wooded area.

The investment objectives are to counter the abandonment of mountain areas and to recover a district that for many years has been the flagship of the Seriana Valley industrial sector.

The Itema Group CEO Ugo Ghilardi commented: “With this operation, Itema demonstrates its proximity to the territory and its willingness to contribute to maintaining those identities that made it a protagonist in the past. We intend to redevelop and give new life to the area, through the implementation of new cutting-edge facilities aimed at enhancing the activities of the Colzate, Ponte Nossa and other Group sites”.

The acquisition is aimed at creating new innovative spaces in terms of sustainability and circularity to accommodate expansions of the Itema Group companies’ production and engineering activities.

Itema Group announces appointment of Ugo Ghilardi as new CEO and moves towards a new stage of development and consolidation

March 2, Colzate (Bergamo, Italy) – Itema Group, multinational group part of the Radici world of companies manufacturing advanced weaving solutions including weaving machines, spare parts and integrated services and with majority interests in companies active in complementary businesses, announced that its Board of Directors has named Ugo Ghilardi, effective March 2, 2020, as Chief Executive Officer.

Ugo Ghilardi, who is taking over from Carlo Rogora at the helm of the Colzate-based company, during his remarkable professional experience held positions of increasing responsibility in leading companies in the mechanical and automation industries. Mr. Ghilardi, in fact, boasts a long career in DMG Mori – German-Japanese multinational company world leader in the production and marketing of machine tools – where he held a variety of senior management positions, including Divisional Board Member Sales & Service EMEA, Chief Operating Officer EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) with direct responsibility of Sales & Service for all European markets and DMG Mori Europe CEO.

Gianfranco Ceruti, President of the Itema Board of Directors – commented on the choice of Ghilardi as the new CEO of Itema Group: “Ugo Ghilardi brings to the position a wealth of knowledge in international markets and an array of experiences in the mechanical industry, thus allowing us to count on fundamental skills to drive a company like Itema. Itema Group startet Diversifizierungsstrategie und erwirbt Mehrheitsanteil an Lamiflex sowie Minderheitsanteil an NoeCha

Mai 2017 (Colzate, Bergamo, Italien): Itema, der weltweit grösste in Privathand befindliche Anbieter von hochentwickelten Webelösungen ‒ einschliesslich der branchenbesten Webmaschinen, Ersatzteilen und integrierten Dienstleistungen, schloss Vereinbarungen über den Erwerb von 61 % der Anteile an Lamiflex, einem führenden Anbieter technischer Verbundprodukte, und eines Minderheitsanteils an NoeCha, einem Anbieter spitzentechnologischer Drucklösungen für das Breitformat, ab. Die Erwerbungen sind Teil einer umfassenderen Strategie von Itema und ihrer Anteilseigner, und zwar der Familie Radici mit 60% der Anteile und der Familien Arizzi und Torri mit den übrigen 40%, die weitere Expansion zu forcieren und die langfristige Rentabilität von Itema zu sichern, indem das Unternehmen in komplementäre Wachstumsmärkte diversifiziert und dabei Anteile an innovationsstarken Firmen erwirbt, die ein signifikantes Einsparpotenzial bieten, um das Kerngeschäft aller Beteiligten mit vereinten Kräften weiter zu entwickeln.

Lamiflex hat seinen Stammsitz in Ponte Nossa in der Provinz Bergamo und ist ein Spezialist im Bereich der Verbundwerkstoffe wie Carbon, Glas und Kevlar. Das Unternehmen verfügt über ein Portfolio aus innovativen Lösungen und patentierten neuen Produkten mit aussergewöhnlicher Vielseitigkeit und Eignung für ein weites Feld industrieller Anwendungen, wie zum Beispiel Webmaschinen, Medizin, Luft- und Raumfahrt und vieles mehr.

NoeCha, ebenfalls in Bergamo ansässig, ist ein schnell wachsendes, junges Unternehmen, das spitzentechnologische Drucklösungen anbietet, wie zum Beispiel die revolutionäre industrielle UV-LED-Flachbett-Digitalpresse für das Breitformat, die NoeCha ONE, mit der sich fotorealistische, ausdrucksstarke Grafiken herstellen lassen. Im Anschluss an den Erfolg der ITMA 2015 hatten wir 2016 die Gelegenheit, unsere Kunden anlässlich drei wichtiger Termine zu treffen: ITM in Istanbul im Juni, ITMA ASIA/CITME in Shanghai im Oktober und India ITME in Mumbai im Dezember. Des Weiteren hat Itema 2016 verschiedene Tage der offenen Türen und Seminare unter dem Titel „Itema Innovation Roadshow“ organisiert und Kunden und Partner aus aller Welt getroffen, darunter aus Bursa, Türkei, aus Kolhapur, Indien, Xiqiiao, China, und Dacca, Bangladesch.

Die großen Events 2015:

Alle 4 Jahre treffen sich die Textilmaschinenhersteller auf der ITMA – eine Pflichtveranstaltung. 2015 kehrte die ITMA nach Mailand zurück; es war ein echter Erfolg – ganz generell und insbesondere für ITEMA.

In Mailand präsentierte die Itema Group innovative Webmaschinen, die neue Internetplattform für die MyItema-Originalersatzteile, und die neuesten Entwicklungen für das Echtzeit-Management des Webesaals. Mit mehr als 13 Webmaschinen in den Messehallen, davon allein 6 am Designstand des Unternehmens und 7 an den Ständen der Partner, war Itema zweifellos die am häufigsten vertretene Herstellermarke. Unsere Webmaschinen, die wie echte Stars umlagert waren, haben den Fachleuten aus aller Welt ihre technischen Vorzüge und die überlegene Webeleistung der Itema-Maschinen unter Beweis gestellt.

• Der Industrieverband „Unindustria Reggio Emilia” zeichnet Itema mit dem alljährlich verliehenen „10th Italian Mechatronics Award“ aus
• Itema konnte sich aufgrund seiner führenden Rolle in der globalen Textilmaschinenbranche und seiner kontinuierlichen Investitionen in Forschung, Entwicklung und Innovation gegen fünf Finalisten durchsetzen. Eine wesentliche Rolle spielte auch die Gründung von ItemaLab, einem Spitzenforschungszentrum mit Sitz im Wissenschafts- und Technologiepark Kilometro Rosso

Colzate, Bergamo, Italien – Itema, der weltweit grösste private Hersteller marktführender Webmaschinen und Anbieter von Ersatzteilen und Dienstleistungen, gibt mit Stolz bekannt, mit dem „Italian Mechatronics Award 2016“ ausgezeichnet worden zu sein. Itema konnte sich bei dem vom Industrieverband Unindustria Reggio Emilia in Zusammenarbeit mit dem „Meccatronica Club“ veranstalteten Wettbewerb gegen fünf Finalisten durchsetzen. Die Verleihungszeremonie des zum 10. Mal verliehenen prestigeträchtigen Preises erfolgte am 23. Juni 2016.
Itema überzeugte den wissenschaftlichen Ausschuss mit einer visionären Implementierung mechatronischer Lösungen, die umwälzende Fortschritte durch die Entwicklung innovativer High-Tech-Webmaschinenlösungen ermöglicht. Es folgt ein Auszug aus der offiziellen Rede der Jury, aus der weitere Gründe für die Prämierung hervorgehen: „Aufgrund der globalen Marktführerschaft bei Textilmaschinen – einem extrem wettbewerbsintensiven Markt, in dem Italien weiterhin eine wichtige Rolle spielt. Aufgrund der unter den Wettbewerbern einzigartigen Fähigkeit, durch fortlaufende Investitionen in Forschung und technologische Innovation, ein vollständiges Portfolio an hochgradig innovativen mechatronischen Webmaschinen für praktisch jede Art von Gewebe und die drei wichtigsten schützenlosen Schusseintragstechnologien (Greifer, Luft und Projektil) zu entwickeln. Aufgrund der Gründung des ItemaLab, dem fortschrittlichen Forschungs- und Innovationszentrum von Itema im Wissenschafts- und Technologiepark Kilometro Rosso, und weil es sich das Unternehmen zur Lebensaufgabe gemacht hat, die „Webmaschine der Zukunft” zu entwickeln, um die Textilindustrie zu revolutionieren. Die ITEMA Group gibt das Ergebnis des Geschäftsjahres 2015 bekannt, die Erwartungen wurden im dritten Jahr in Folge übertroffen

• Konzernumsatz steigt um +11% YOY
• Vorsteuerergebnis (EBT) steigt um +30% YOY
• Gewinn und Cash-Flow übertreffen die Erwartungen
• Umsatzwachstum bei Webmaschinen +80% seit 2012

Colzate, Bergamo, Italien – Itema, der weltweit grösste private Anbieter fortschrittlicher Weblösungen, zu denen modernste Webmaschinen, Ersatzteile und integrierte Dienstleistungen zählen, gab heute die Ergebnisse für das Gesamtjahr (FY2015) mit Ende vom 31. Dezember 2015 bekannt. Der seit drei Jahren andauernde positive Trend konnte fortgesetzt werden. Die Gruppe schloss das Jahr mit einem Umsatzwachstum von +11% gegenüber dem Vorjahr ab und verzeichnete einen Aufwärtstrend, der sich auf alle Geschäftsbereiche bezieht. Die Verkäufe an Webmaschinen stiegen um +14% YOY, während der Umsatz mit Ersatzteilen um etwa +4% YOY wuchs. Damit setzt sich die Trendwende der letzten Jahre fort, die seit Jahrzehnten mit einer abnehmenden Nachfrage nach OEM-Teilen einhergeht. Der EBIT kletterte um +30% YOY aufgrund Effizienzsteigerungen und fortlaufender Kostensparmassnahmen.

CEO Carlo Rogora erklärte: „Es erfüllt mich mit Stolz, dass die Itema Group wiederum mit brillanten Geschäftsergebnissen für das vergangene Jahr aufwarten kann. Wir stehen jetzt am Beginn des vierten Wachstumsjahres in Folge – im Vergleich zu 2012 stieg der Absatz von Webmaschinen um +80%. Das ist ein sehr beeindruckender Meilenstein, für den ich mich bei unseren Aktionären, Kunden, Mitarbeitern, Agenten, Lieferanten und Partnern weltweit für deren Beitrag zu unserem Erfolg bedanken möchte. „Für die Itema Group war 2015 ein richtungsweisendes Jahr”, erklärte Rogora weiter. „Man kann die einzelnen Meilensteine gar nicht alle aufzählen, aber im Zentrum stehen sicher die Einführung unserer neuen Produkte, die Gewinne an Marktanteilen bei allen drei Schusseintragstechnologien (N.B. Itema ist die einzige Marke, die mit Greifer-, Luft- und Projektilwebmaschinen alle drei führenden Eintragstechnologien anbietet) in wichtigen Märkten, ein hervorragender Auftritt bei der Textilmaschinenmesse ITMA letzten November und ein volles Auftragsbuch im Anschluss an die ITMA”.

Rückschau auf die ITMA
Die ITMA 2015 war für das italienische Technologieschwergewicht ein echter Erfolg – nachdem die Besucherströme am Designerstand gar nicht mehr verebbten, waren die Auftragsbücher am Ende prall gefüllt. In Mailand stellte die Itema Group innovative Webmaschinen, das neue MyItema-Portal zur Ersatzteilbestellung (https://portal.itemagroup.com) und die neuesten Entwicklungen beim Echtzeit-Webmaschinenmanagement-System vor. Mit insgesamt 13 Webmaschinen – sechs davon am Stand des avantgardistischen Unternehmens und sieben an Partnerständen – war Itema die am besten repräsentierte Marke auf der Messe. Und die Webmaschinen waren der Renner – sie demonstrierten Technikbegeisterten aus allen Teilen der Welt die technischen Vorteile und die Überlegenheit der Webmaschinen der Marke Itema.

R9500terry
Zu den 2015 neu auf den Markt gekommen Produkten gehört die R9500terry, die das Erbe und die Reputation der historischen Marken Sulzer und Vamatex und jetzt Itema in sich vereint und umgehend zu einem Bestseller wurde. So machen unter anderem das robuste Maschinengestell und die zuverlässigen mechanischen Bauteile, die von der R9500 übernommen wurden, die R9500terry zu einer ausgezeichneten Frotteegreiferwebmaschine. Die hohe Gewebequalität wird ferner durch ein unschlagbares Trio neuer und innovativer Komponenten erreicht: dem Positive Back-Rest Roller, der Pile Formation Unit und dem Ground Back-Rest Roller.

R9500p
Die bei der ITMA in Mailand vorgestellte R9500p („p” für „Premium”) verkörpert die neueste Weiterentwicklung der Greifertechnologie, deckt das gesamte Spektrum an Schusseintragstypen ab und wartet mit weniger Schussfadenanschlägen und höherer Effizienz und Produktivität auf. Die auf hohe Geschwindigkeit ausgelegte R9500p kann sich eines hervorragenden Stammbaums rühmen: sie ist die verbesserte Version der in letzter Zeit erfolgreichsten Greiferwebmaschine: der legendären R9500. Zu den Highlights gehören der Greifer 2.0 mit dem neuen Greiferkopf auf der rechten Seite, der für eine bessere Verwebbarkeit und Flexibilität selbst bei höchsten Geschwindigkeiten sorgt, sowie der innovative LoomCooler, der die Öltemperatur durch Senkung der thermischen Last am Konditionierungssystem reduziert. Die R9500p ist aufgrund ihrer technischen Verbesserungen, die eine unschlagbare Leistung und Produktionsgeschwindigkeit sowie Flexibilität und Vielseitigkeit beim Webvorgang sicherstellt, zweifellos die perfekte Maschine für extrem wettbewerbsintensive, qualitätsorientierte Segmente wie Denim und Hemdenstoff, um nur zwei herauszugreifen.

A9500p
Im Bereich Luftwebmaschinen stellte das Unternehmen ein überarbeitetes Modell der A9500p vor, die bereits gut etabliert ist und von anspruchsvollen Webereien auf der ganzen Welt als Spitzenprodukt des Itema-Portfolios bei Luftwebmaschinen geschätzt wird. Die Premium-Luftwebmaschine ist ab jetzt mit einer doppelten Tandemdüse ausgestattet, um die Effizienz der Maschine und die Qualität der Gewebe zu steigern. Dieses innovative Feature garantiert eine perfekte Verteilung der Druckkraft auf den Schusseintrag durch niedrigeren Luftdruck. Damit profitiert der Kunde am Ende von zwei Vorteilen: Top-Gewebequalität aufgrund der Verringerung der Garnbelastung und gleichzeitig Energieersparnis, da die Möglichkeit besteht, mit geringerem Druck zu weben.

Webmaschine der Zukunft
Auf der ITMA startete der italienische Textilmaschinenhersteller an seinem futuristischen Stand das erste soziale Crowdsourcing-Projekt für den „Webmaschinen der Zukunft”. Als einziges Unternehmen in der Branche, das zwei Forschungsabteilungen unterhält, beschäftigt sich Itema weiterhin mit grossen, verwegenen Ideen, um auch künftig bahnbrechende Neuerungen bei der Webtechnologie zustande zu bringen.

Abschliessende Bemerkungen
