Colzate (Italy) – Itema, the global leading provider of advanced weaving solutions, participates at ITMA Asia + CITME (Hall 3 – D08) in Shanghai presenting for the first time together in China the two newest ranges in its rapier weaving machines portfolio, the Itema R9500^EVO and the Itema Galileo^RX.

China is without doubt the main market for the whole textile machinery industry, and Itema makes no exception. For this reason, Itema has been present in China since 2002 with its local branch Itema Weaving Machinery China – today a top-notch organization counting more than 160 employees making up an extensive team of experts from different fields, including sales, after-sales, and spare parts services, along with a local team for operations, product and quality engineers. Skills, experience, and passion for textiles are the common denominators of Itema employees all over the world and the key factor to ensure precise production processes and textile expertise.

Thanks to this Customer-oriented approach, Itema is today the European weaving machinery manufacturer with the highest market share for rapier weaving machines produced and sold locally. 13 Itema Weaving Machines on show at ITMA Asia + CITME

Visitors to ITMA Asia + CITME will have multiple chances to learn more about the Itema weaving portfolio, with a total of 13 Itema weaving machines on display, of which 3 in the Itema booth (Hall 3 Booth D08) and the rest in Partner booths across Hall 3.

Itema booth will feature the following machines line-up:

– The new Itema rapier weaving machine R9500^EVO: the latest Itema weaving machine range gained a lot of interest from all over the world after the market launch at ITMA 2023 in Milan thanks to its significant innovations designed to raise the bar in terms of textile mastery, eco-efficiency, performance, and easy weaving. The R9500^EVO on show (2200mm) will be weaving Wool fabric and will feature the iSAVER^®fancy – one of the new versions of the iSAVER^® range, now available in up to 6 colors and for many more applications, including luxurious fabrics such as wool, cashmere and wool blends, thus significantly increasing the contribution to sustainable weaving.

– The first Itema Galileo^RX rapier weaving machines on display at the Itema Group booth will be weaving Denim Double Stretch (2300mm). The machine will be equipped with iSAVER^®eco, the iSAVER^® model fine-tuned to weave denim

– and the second Itema Galileo^RXon show, in 2300mm weaving width, will be running an Apparel style. On its first appearance at ITMA Asia, the Itema rapier weaving machine Galileo^RX has been launched in December 2022 and was specifically designed to combine the most innovative weaving technology with the unique advantages of accurate manufacturing in China. Born on the heritage of the most successful high-end rapier weaving machine assembled in China, the Itema R9000 and later R9000², Galileo^RXfeatures further technological and design advancements to fully meet the needs of the Chinese and Asian markets – a totally open platform configurable to meet exactly the weaver’s requirements.

Itema^® Weaving Machines on show in partners’ booths

Itema weaving technology is traditionally recognized to be the preferred choice of textile machinery producers due to its superior versatility and textile mastery. – il secondo Galileo^RX in mostra, in altezza 2300mm, è equipaggiato con un articolo di abbigliamento. Per la prima volta in mostra ad ITMA Asia, il telaio a pinza Galileo^RX di Itema è stato lanciato sul mercato a dicembre 2022 ed è stato progettato per combinare la più innovativa tecnologia tessile con i vantaggi di un’accurata produzione in Cina. Basandosi sui modelli di telaio a pinza prodotti nello stabilimento Itema di Shanghai in anni precedenti, R9000 prima ed R9000² in seguito, Galileo^RX presenta ulteriori avanzamenti tecnologici e di design per soddisfare appieno i bisogni del mercato cinese e asiatico in generale.

Nasce Tofflonit, l’open innovation al servizio dell’industria farmaceutica e biotech

Grazie alle competenze industriali di Itema, la nuova azienda produrrà in Italia i sistemi di liofilizzazione del gruppo Tofflon

Colzate – Itema, azienda tra i leader a livello mondiale nella fornitura di soluzioni avanzate per la tessitura, e Tofflon Science and Technology Group Co. Ltd., colosso asiatico del settore farmaceutico, hanno presentato la joint venture da cui nasce Tofflonit, nuova realtà dedicata alla produzione di liofilizzatori industriali per il comparto biofarmaceutico che opera con il nome di Tofflon Itema Srl. Con un investimento iniziale di circa 10 milioni di euro, l’azienda avrà sede regionale a Nibbia, in provincia di Novara, dove da ottobre è operativo uno stabilimento produttivo caratterizzato da elevati livelli di qualità e innovazione. L’accordo è stato illustrato questa mattina a Bergamo durante BioTopics 2023, l’evento dedicato al mondo delle biotecnologie e dell’open innovation.

Fondata a Shanghai nel 1993, Tofflon è un fornitore completo di apparecchiature farmaceutiche che fornisce supporto di processo, apparecchiature di base, sistemi integrati e ingegneria farmaceutica per l’industria farmaceutica e biotecnologica, con più di 5.800 dipendenti nel mondo e un fatturato 2022 di circa 800 milioni di dollari USA. Ltd., Asiatic giant company in the pharmaceutical industry, have presented Tofflonit, the new joint venture dedicated to the production of industrial lyophilizers for the biopharmaceutical sector that operates under the name Tofflon Itema Srl. With an initial investment of 10 million euros, the company will have its regional headquarters in Nibbia, in the province of Novara, where a manufacturing plant with high quality and innovation levels has been operating since October. The agreement was illustrated in Bergamo on October 24th during BioTopics 2023, the event dedicated to biotechnologies and open innovation.

Founded in Shanghai in 1993, Tofflon is a comprehensive pharmaceutical equipment supplier to provide process support, core equipment, integrated system and pharma engineering for the pharma and biotech industry, with more than 5,800 employees worldwide and a 2022 turnover of about 800 million US dollars. In order to pursue its strategy of internationalization and expansion, the group chose Itema as the partner for the planning and engineering of its new branch in Europe, where the group will produce lyophilization systems for the production of antibiotics, vaccines, diagnostic drugs, products containing proteins and biotechnological products.

The machine displayed at the event comes from the bulk order of 99 Itema rapier R9500-2denim that Universal Denims recently installed in its mill.

Per concretizzare velocemente gli obiettivi 5.0, il Consorzio stabilirà le proprie sedi operative entro il mese di agosto.

Sharabati Denim confirms the trust in the Itema rapier technology and places an additional bulk order to the Italian company

With production sites in Egypt and in Turkey, Sharabati Denim weaves more than 80 million meters of denim, corduroy, and grey fabrics every year.

Ever since committed to respecting environmental sustainability, Sharabati Denim introduced process optimizations to decrease water and energy waste and to promote responsible employment of chemicals. Fundamental driver of the mission of the Company is, in fact, the eco-centric approach which consists in a tireless pursuit of solutions for sustainable production with the aim of reducing the environmental impact to provide final consumers with sustainable fabrics.

Precisely because of this vision, after the market launch in 2018 of the Itema rapier weaving machine exclusively dedicated to weave denim – the R9500-2denim, Sharabati Denim was among the pioneers to install a first group of this machine model, equipped with the one of a kind iSAVER^®, the device that completely eliminates weft and warp waste on the left side of the fabric leading to significant cotton and water savings.

La controllata turca, che opera con il nome di İtema Tekstil Makineleri Servis Sanayi ve Ticaret Limited Şirketi, ha iniziato le sue attività a Istanbul – sede principale – e Bursa – filiale dell’azienda – già dal 13 aprile.

Itema will install customized edge computing solutions based on HMI and developed with SECO. Also, starting from 2023 Itema machines will be connected to CLEA Smart HMI, the new IIoT platform developed by SECO for the industrial equipment manufacturers.
