EDITORIAL
Dear Readers,
we recently released our new Itema advertising campaing which is actually a real manifesto of our mission and vision. When a Customer chooses our technology, and as a consequence our whole organization, we feel the responsibility to give value to this investment and we ultimately want to make the Customer happy.
I believe that the only way to achieve these targets is to tirelessly work to innovate the weaving industry by introducing tangible and concrete innovations developed to help weavers to accomplish their goals. At Itema innovation is a mandatory task since we feel invested by our Customers to develop always new and advanced weaving solutions to guarantee costs reduction, easier operations and superior fabric quality.
We know very well that weaving is not a game for kids. We are structured and organized to provide a flexible, real-time support to our worldwide Customers, through our branches and our agencies networks. And we continuously roll-out new innovative devices and weaving solutions setting constantly a new benchmark in the industry. In this Itema Red Dot News edition, we share with you what we implemented on the Itema R95002, the second generation of our best-seller and backbone, that goes exaclty in the direction of the smart innovation I was talking about. You will also learn more about the establishment of Itematech, the brand-new Itema Technical Textiles Division, born from the merger of know-how and expertise of Itema and PTMT (ex Panter) in weaving technical textiles. Moreover, the Events section will be totally dedicated to the Itema Denim Day that we held in our HQ in Colzate, a one-of-a-kind event dedicated to the whole denim supply chain to deepen and better understand what sustainabily really means and how to take together the concept to the next stage. This event fits in the Itema way to serve its Customers: not only by providing best-in-class weaving machines and services, but also by supporting the industry in creating value and winning relations.
Last but not least, you can find two more Weaving Excellence stories – Azgard 9 weaving denim in Pakistan and La Josefina weaving terry fabrics in Mexico.
We are preparing big bold new things for you at ITMA where my worldwide team and myself really look forward to meeting you.
Enjoy your reading and see you soon!
PS: I would like to close this message remembering one of the Formula 1 pillars, Mr. Niki Lauda who passed away on the 20th of May. It might sound far from business but, if we consider the spirit and passion that should guide everybody in private and working life, it is closer than you think. Niki Lauda’s passing is a big loss for Italians and Austrians and for all the Formula 1 fans in the world who will miss him forever. I will remember him as a man, as a champion and for his inexhaustible desire to win and to be the number one. A talented, strong and winning man that has been perfectly described in Mr. Ferrari words “this man is not satisfied with the maximum, he wants the best”. And this is exaclty what Itema means when we say that those who seek perfection, never stop.
Farewell, Niki, Rest In Peace.
Carlo Rogora, Itema Group CEO
